White Reserva
Burmester White Reserve Helmsman
A bright golden colour which immediately engages the senses. On the nose, it delivers hints of apricot syrup embedded in notes of honeycomb and dried fruit which linger in the mouth and unfold in fresh and multiple layers. Elegant and versatile, this is the wine equivalent of a summer breeze. Divine as an appetizer, it is a great pairing for creamy soups and light dishes such as shrimp tempura with passion fruit. Its aromatic complexity allures all our senses and is a perfect match for desserts that are not too sweet, like an almond tart or a refreshing pineapple mousse. Its pairing potential is enormous, opening a whole world of new flavours for the port lover.

Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats, with skin-on maceration and churning at temperatures between 18-22°C, in a process that is designed to produce white wines full of structure, with the necessary phenolic compounds to withstand long ageing in barrel. This fermentation process is then halted by adding grape brandy (benefício) to create a fortified wine. This is a wine of great quality, made by blending wines of different ages and origins, which have matured at least 7 years in small wood barriques.
